11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.


What kind of passport application do I need?

Adult – General: You have never had a passport before, or your passport has been expired for more than one year and you are over 16 years of age.

Adult – Simplified Renewal: You have a passport that has been expired for less than one year, or your passport is within six months of expiry, and you are over 16 years of age.

Child – General: Anyone under 16 years of age must complete the Child application if they wish to obtain a Canadian passport.

What do I bring to the clinic?

Bring either a credit card or certified cheque payable to Receiver General for Canada.

Adult- General Application
1) Two identical passport photos
2) Your ORIGINAL Canadian birth certificate or Canadian Citizenship Card.
3) Your previous passport, if you have one (even if it is expired).
4) At least one piece of government-issued ID with the name, sex, date of birth, signature and photo of the applicant (ie: driver’s license). More than one document may be used to fulfill this requirement.
5) A government-issued copy of any legal documents that support a change in name (Marriage certificate, etc).
6) Names, mailing information, and phone numbers for two references that have known you for at least two years and are not family members.
7) A guarantor – a person 18 years of age or older with a valid Canadian passport who has known you for at least two years

Adult – Simplified Renewal Application
1) Two NEW identical passport photos
2) Your existing Canadian passport
3) Names, mailing information, and phone numbers for two references that have known you for at least two years and are not family members.

Child – General Application
1) Two identical passport photos
2) Any valid Canadian travel document (passport) issued to the child
3) Proof of Canadian citizenship (birth certificate or certificate of Canadian citizenship)
4) Acceptable proof of parentage (detailed birth certificate or order of adoption)
5) All documents (including any divorce judgment) that refer to custody of, mobility of, or access to the child)
6) A guarantor – a person with a valid Canadian passport 18 years of age or older who has known the applicant (the parent/legal guardian of the child) for at least two years

    So my wife’s passport will soon expire in February. But we are leaving for Mexico Nov. 6/17. If she comes in Oct. 21/ 17, to renew her passport, will she have to give her old one up, so she could one to travel to Mexico. Thanks for your time
