Earlier this month, a father and son were arrested by the RCMP after being found to be “in the advanced stages of planning a serious, violent attack” in Toronto. The two men were in possession of deadly weapons, including an axe and machete, and were seen brandishing them in a video with the ISIS flag as their backdrop.

The father, Ahmed Fouad Mostafa Eldidi, was allowed into Canada and was even given Canadian citizenship. This despite committing acts of violence and terror as a member of ISIS—including dismembering an ISIS captive on video.

This is a colossal national security failure.

Justin Trudeau and his government must immediately explain how this ISIS terrorist with blood on his hands managed to immigrate to Canada and was granted Canadian citizenship.

Conservatives forced an emergency meeting of the Public Safety Committee. At the meeting, Conservatives introduced a motion calling on both the Minister of Immigration and Minister of Public Safety to testify on this massive security lapse. The motion was adopted by the Committee.
