St. Albert- Michael Cooper, MP for St. Albert-Edmonton wrote to the Prime Minister today to urge the government to take immediate action to facilitate the return to Canada of four Canadian children: Sharvahn (11 years-old), Rojevahn (9 years-old), Dersim (7 years-old), and Meitan (3 years-old) Azer who were abducted by their father, Dr. Saren Azer (a.k.a Salahadden Mahmudi-Azer, and are presently being held captive in Kurdistan. The family once lived in St. Albert and has many friends and family in St. Albert who are concerned about the children’s safety and well-being. “As the Member of Parliament for St. Albert-Edmonton, I share my constituents’ concerns for the safety and well-being of Sharvahn, Rojevahn, Dersim, and Meitan Azer,” said Cooper.
Cooper continued:
“After having conversations with friends of the family, I am offering my support and have sent a letter to the Prime Minister to urge the government to make it a priority to protect the children from the danger they are in by bringing them home to Canada.”
